Over the last few years Club President Tony Marsh, has been campaigning tirelessly for funding and support to renew and improve the facilities at Newcastle (Staffs) RUFC.

This resulted in a 9 month programme of work to improve the social facilities at the club. Extensive work has been undertaken both internally and externally to enhance our social spaces.

It's easy to forget what the old club looked like prior to the refurbishment.

The extensive internal work came about by the necessity of having the original internal asbestos removed by experts, this meant that a vast amount of internal walls has to be relined and plastered as well as the replacement of ceilings in certain areas.

All this work was undertaken by a few Club Volunteers who worked tirelessly towards completion of the project.

Externally can be seen the biggest impact, we now have:

New double doors, replacing the original windows, enabling better viewing and ingress and egress.
New Veranda / viewing area.
New Entrance Foyer.
New Shop facilities.
Extended Beer Cellar
New Beer delivery extension
New Kit Storage extension.

There is the anticipation that these new improved facilities will encourage more people to visit the club and offer the opportunity for more social activities to be undertaken.

Thanks to all who have been a part of the programme, it has sometimes seemed endless, but the outcome is worth it.
